Winners receive national recognition, a paid trip to Washington DC, cash prize and scholarships awarded in their name. About the Restaurant Neighbor Award If your restaurant is one of the 90 percent of restaurants doing charitable work in their community share your story! Tell us how your restaurant gives back and you could be eligible to win $5,000 for your favorite charity or community project. Each year, three national winners are chosen: one small business, one mid-size business and one large business. Finalists are chosen by their state restaurant associations, and then compete for one of four national awards. In addition to the grand prize of $5,000, national winners receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, DC where they will be honored at the National Restaurant Association Public Affairs Conference in April 2016.
